Hi, I’m Marry Thompson, the creator and recipe developer behind Marry Kitchen.

If you are wondering about the name yes, it is spelled “Marry,” just like the verb! I created this site to share my journey of blending two worlds: the rustic, comforting “farmhouse” style of cooking I’ve always loved, and the vibrant, fresh ingredients I work with daily living here in Tunisia.

Why I Started Marry Kitchen

Living in North Africa has given me a deep appreciation for Mediterranean produce, but I often found myself craving the hearty, cozy meals of a traditional American home. I realized I didn’t have to choose between them.

I started this blog with a simple motivation: to create reliable, home-cooked recipes that bridge the gap between “comfort food” and “fresh ingredients.” Whether it is a rich soup for a winter evening or a light salad for a summer lunch, my goal is to prove that you don’t need a professional kitchen to make restaurant-quality meals.

Real Food, Tested at Home

I know how frustrating it is to buy ingredients for a recipe that doesn’t work. That is why trust is the most important ingredient here.

Every recipe on this site is tested in my own home kitchen. I chop, stir, and bake everything myself to ensure the instructions are clear and the results are delicious. If a recipe is tricky, I will tell you. If it requires a specific technique, I will guide you through it.

From my kitchen to yours, thank you for stopping by. I hope you find something here that brings your family together.

Warmly,

Marry Thompson Founder, MarryKitchen.com
